REVOLVER TACO LOUNGE, FT. WORTH

Revolver Taco Lounge in Ft. Worth was one of the restaurants featured on Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods last Monday night...

Mike looks skeptical...probably afraid I was going to order young goat...or a pig head....

I got something called Traditional Chile en Nogada. It was on the evening specials menu. Description: following an ancient recipe created by nuns in Puebla, Mexico during the colonial times, fire roasted poblano pepper, stuffed with sauteed chopped pork, beef, onion, cinnamon, raisins, almonds, pears, peaches, spices, covered with a rich English walnut, almond, fresh goat cheese, and Spanish sherry cream sauce, garnished with pomegranate and fresh parsley. It was soooo good!

Mike got tres tacos, with sides of rice and beans. I didn't taste them, but they looked really good...

We sat outdoors at a table next to the street. The weather was perfect for alfresco dining...

Love the twinkle lights in the trees across the street...

Driving through downtown Ft. Worth on the way home...beautiful evening...top down...I took a photo of the fabulous courthouse!

Interesting longhorn metal sculpture greeted us at the front door...

Shades of Georgia O'Keeffe...

Berkshire Pork Chop, bone-in, wood grilled, served with crispy fries and bright slaw.

Texas Quail, molasses brined, bandera quail, grilled to perfection.

Creamy, sweet, and tangy key lime pie.

JOE, BUBBA, AND JOAQUIN...ONLY IN TEXAS

Joe's Coffee Shop - Where Irving meets and eats...it says so right there on the sign.

A booth by the window...a nice view of the park...

A great breakfast...nothing fancy, but hearty and tasty! And all the coffee you can drink...

Lunch at Bubba's. Crispy chicken, turnip greens, and yeast rolls, oh my! Home cooking at it's best..

Apricot fried pie. Sweet, tangy apricot filling, flaky crust, and sugary glaze...yummy!

David Kozlowski's Head Wire Sculpture at SMU. We were there for the JoaquĆn Sorolla Exibit at The Meadows Art Museum; but photography was not allowed inside, so you'll have to take my word for it...it's fabulous! See it if you can!

"The Beebs" smiles for the camera! Looking very chic and sophisticated...

...while I, on the other hand, look a little wind blown. But what a great day!
